Shawn Shell is the founder and Principal consultant at Consejo, Inc. (http://www.consejoinc.com), a firm specializing in the development of information worker solutions. Shawn has spent more than 20 years in the information technology field. He has both a broad and deep range of expertise, from operational support to application development to information technology strategy. For more than the last decade, Shawn has concentrated on the development of content management solutions using primarily Microsoft-based technologies, including SharePoint, Content Management Server, Office and EPiServer.
He is an internationally recognized expert in SharePoint-based solutions and a sought-after speaker at industry events. In his role as Principal Consultant, Shawn is responsible for the overall management of Consejo, as well as strategic consulting work for a wide range of Consejo clients.
In addition to his work at Consejo, Shawn is a Contributing Analyst for the Real Story Group (http://www.realstorygroup.com), where he writes about SharePoint and the SharePoint ecosystem. Shawn was also a co-author of Microsoft Content Management Server 2002: A Complete Guide published by Addison-Wesley. Prior to founding Consejo, Shawn held various management roles at Dell, Inc. Before Dell, he was an adjunct professor in the Department of Computer Science at Rutgers University and started his career at Warner-Lambert Company (now Pfizer).
