Nicknamed "Mr. Turnaround" Melvin has more than 20 years of experience in the Turnaround and Knowledge Management business. Melvin serves as the Chief of Staff, for the Office of Information Technology, at U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, with the Department of Homeland Security. He is an adjunct professor for Leadership and Management for the University of Phoenix. Melvin is also president of MC Brown & Associates LLC, a small management and training consulting firm. He is currently working on his first book "The Drive of Your Life".

Tony is Founder of CMS Watch, a vendor-neutral analyst firm that evaluates content technologies and publishes reports comparing different solutions head-to-head. Tony serves as executive editor of all ten CMS Watch evaluation reports.

A founding principal of AKG, Andy's skills and expertise have contributed greatly to AKG along with his vision for a company that values people first and foremost. Andy has extensive experience as a management consultant with a focus on government and larger organizations. His background includes experience in the national security community, as well as experience in the White House, working in the Office of the Vice President on the National Performance Review Team. Martin Garland has over 20 years experience in the knowledge management industry focusing on sales, marketing and general management, with expertise in both start-up and turn around operations throughout Europe, the US and Asia Pacific.  One of the founders of Concept Searching, Martin is responsible for North American and International operations.

Jarrod Gingras is an Analyst covering enterprise information including multi-channel publishing, web CMS, and ECM.

Jarrod is a ten-year veteran of the content technology industry, starting his career as a web developer and information architect. Prior to joining The Real Story Group (formerly CMS Watch) in 2007, Jarrod worked as a user interface designer at a systems integration firm, where he developed user-focused content management strategies and solutions for clients in the financial services, retail, healthcare, insurance, and manufacturing industries.

Over the past 7 years I have had the pleasure of working extensively with SharePoint as an end user, developer, administrator, architect, business analyst, and consultant. In this time I defined, architected, developed, and implemented well over a hundred SharePoint solutions from small implementations of WSS on a single server, to 80,000+ user implementations in international organizations.

Technology, challenges, and business are the things I am most passionate about. These passions have resulted in me working with truly fantastic people who I admire, and respect for their dedication, intelligence, and generosity. I absolutely love learning, and have found that people seem to love teaching, sharing, and helping as much as I do. As a result I have a habit of getting involved in a great many community and professional events (organizing and presenting) which always leave me a bit smarter, stronger, more humbled and better off.

Laurence Hart is a Director of Technology Solutions for Washington Consulting, Inc. and the author of the blog "Word of Pie".  Over his 15+ years in the Information Management industry, he has led a wide-range of efforts for both the commercial and public sectors.  Recently, Laurence has been focused on helping organizations in assessing, defining, and building their Information and Content Management strategies.  Laurence has worked with a wide variety of vendors over the years and is sure that the list will continue to change.

 

Kathleen is Vice President of Northeast Federal Operations for DSA. She also functions as Program Director, responsible for the overall performance of a contract for the U.S. Army Program Executive Office Command, Control, and Communications Tactical (PEO C3T). She leads the team which provides a Knowledge Management Portal and Services, Web 2.0 Solutions, Collaboration and Project Management Solutions, and Tactical Applications. Her projects have received the Knowledge Transformation Initiative Award and the Government Technology Leadership Award. Kathleen was awarded an MBA in Business Administration from Penn State University and a B.S. degree in Computer Science from Drexel University. She is a Certified Lotus Notes Application Developer, and is Lean Six Sigma Certified.

Rob serves content and collaboration professionals with research in the areas of information workplace and collaboration strategy. Rob delivers strategic guidance, helping enterprises define enterprise that drive efficiency and competitive differentiation. His current research focuses on core elements of collaboration strategy including collaboration platforms, workspaces and enterprise social strategy.

Rob comes to Forrester with many years of experience in enterprise software consulting, product marketing, product management, and strategy. Most recently, he was director of product management with Microsoft where he played a strategic role with Duet, a joint initiative brought to market with SAP. Prior to Microsoft, Rob was a senior director of product marketing with Oracle Corporation where he focused on Oracle's content, collaboration, portal and business intelligence offerings. He also spent fifteen years in consulting working for Lotus/ IBM and other global software services firms with a focus on corporate collaboration.

A former technical editor and writer for the Boeing Company, Hugh McKellar has more than 30 years of experience with the technical and business press in a variety of management roles. Prior to joining KMWorld as Executive Editor in 1999, Hugh developed business plans and content strategies for a number of B2B Web sites. He is a member of the founding board of governors for The George Washington University Institute for Knowledge and Innovation.

Corey J. Lynda Moulton is Senior Analyst for Enterprise Search Outsell's Gilbane services. She is also principal at LWM Technology Services. David Sanchez is an Air Force Reserve Officer attached to the 711th Human Performance Wing where he is responsible for integrating KM, IM, and RM design strategy while leveraging both the USAF IT portfolio and enterprise business processes. Jay Ven Eman has been with Access Innovations since late 1978. He has been active in all aspects of its business. He has overseen Access' database production services where he was responsible for the design and conversion of large, legacy databases for a variety of government and commercial organizations. He writes, gives workshops, consults, and helps build large-scale, complex, information rich databases. He has presented papers and workshops at ASIS&T, SLA, ASIDIC, InternetWorld, Online - London, AGSI - Netherlands, and many others. Before joining Access, he worked for the University of New Mexico at the Technology Applications Center, operated under a contract from NASA. He specialized in technology transfer and information dissemination of space technology to the commercial arena. He received his Ph.D. in Organizational Behavior from the University of Colorado in Boulder.
